Dominica Leadership Like a Pack of wolves
It’s like a pack of wolves – the alpha male cannot afford to lower it’s guard. Forget about what makes a good leader for Dominica – Do you remember your high school prefects, class captains and class monitors – do you remember those intense election campaigns at school – i mean then we were all trained to be politicians – we all had our own agenda and if any student had the mature faculty to say they took that mammoth responsibility to serve others, then “he was simply in the wrong class – way ahead of his time – an anomaly in the “Be the best you can be” educational system.
So the hunt is on for an individual who is well mannered, humbled, full of etiquette, fair of heart, gentle (can anyone truly be gentle in Dominica? – A gentle Dominican leader auctions of his/her sanity to stake claim to that characteristic).
Go back 10, 15, 20 centuries and you will find the celebrated leaders that remained in the hearts of their people were those leaders who worked as hard as any of his or her subjects, who were at the forefront in times of war, whose hearts would be troubled when their subjects could not find a morsel of food – A Leader who lead her kingdom by the commandments of the almighty – deeply religious and knowledgeable about the holy book.
This was a time when honor was the currency, when a liar and lying were so shameful that it banished you from your land. Okay – i am getting to the point where it was also a time when barbarism reigned and when some of the worst atrocities were un-challenged and are now narrated to us in history books, and when the ruling class served only to benefit themselves – today it has improved as the offspring of our ruling class frolic, have sex, play and make children with our modern day peasants equivalent.
The rules of old that governed an empire, a people and it’s leader are not the same today. Today you have got to accept some lies, a dash of bribery, a helping of corruption, generous servings of promiscuity, one or two side orders of adultery – and most importantly – layers and layers of pride and arrogance. Your job now is to find leaders who have the least blemishes. Because let’s face it; the quality of our moral measure is not equitable to the quantity of our moral desire. In other words; we wished we had all the perfect moral qualities as wide as the ocean, but the quality with which they manifest within ourselves today is as small as an atoms weight – Ohh yeah I was using myself as a reference point OKAY!
A ruler is selected at birth – and if readers hold true to their scriptures, then you will believe that the burden (to lead is not a merry time – its a great burden – leaders are ALWAYS the slaves of the people – always in service to the people) of leadership is always divine. It’s how you lead with the appointed time the almighty has given you to discharge your obligations to those you have been put in-charge of – how well do you execute that covenant. Every ruler, Party, People, Empire will reign for a fixed appointed time – then the command will be passed to someone else who is begging and promising to do a better job – But the reality is that they are no different from their fathers/predecessors.
I think we have over-looked a fundamental flaw that certainly will not be over looked in 2015 elections – that is a need for something over-powering. Now the mob likes the super crazy sewo vibes so they get it. In five (5) years I figure the psyche would have craved for a different calling.
So your leader has simply got to be the bravest, most courageous, upright, ethical, knowledgeable (meaning the best trained for the task), respectful, liked by even his enemies and be beautiful = “hey people i am talking about beauty on the inside”. Hmm, I seemed to have not mentioned the God Fearing part – Well you decide if its an important quality and if its the first, middle or last in the qualities ladder.
