Do you get tired, annoyed, frustrated at LIME’s relentless pounding of unsolicited text messages to your mobile phones? Yep a so called new company, with new corporate values and practices, yet they wont stop spamming the thousands of Dominicans with these unwanted text messages.

LIME TEXT Messages that have Spammed my Mobile
Okay, i think its time to address LIME directly, address the very head of this corporate Titan, who has somehow bullied me into accepting a barrage of TEXT messages that really clogs up my cell. Trust me, Bullied is not as an aggressive word as the practice of the unsolicited TEXTs. Dominicans on the LIME network are not given the option to be removed from this never-ending assault that makes LIME profits fat, and my cell phone tired. So maybe I should correct this, just maybe all the other Dominicans on the LIME network have the opportunity to not get spammed by LIME, and maybe I’m the only one without that preference.
LIME! Do I get any reward, share in profits, cost savings gimmicks, or any of that fancy marketing hype for receiving your spam. LIME! Why do you feel the need to inform me about winning a “BlackBerry Storm” via an unsolicited text message. LIME, have I given you permission to send me these TEXTs? NO! What about the thousands of Dominicans who receive your text adverts, did you receive any permission from them? LIME, who gives you the authority to send those messages, how much are you being paid for the abuse your reign on my poor defenseless mobile?
Now its time to tackle NTRC or ECTEL and ask them why don’t they do something about this. There has to be some statute, some law – in section whatever – item something that prevents, or cancels LIME dead in its tracks. NTRC I hate this never ending spam, please advise me on what methods i can implement to stop LIME from sending me unsolicited TEXT messages. PLEASE NTRC, Help me!
I wonder just how much these advertisers pay LIME for sending these mass TEXTs. Maybe EC $1 or EC $0.50 per message, or $0.05 per message, and if you can multiply that by lets say 10,000. then that aint to bad for a very effective marketing strategy.
Strategy: Boy do I love that word, to implement a strategy takes planning and resources. Now Cable and Wireless UK never use to send me those types of text messages, in fact I don’t ever remember any of the mobile operators behaving or would ever dream of getting away with such a shady tactic. LIME had to have thought about the implications of sending illegal text messages. People they are illegal, LIME as my service provider does not have my permission to send me those messages. I don’t remember we entering into any agreement (and certainly if we did, I cant get out of it now), or I don’t remember them calling me up and say hey “we are going to be hitting with X amount of messages, do you agree? It occurred to me that they must have thought that no one would complain, ever at all about this.
So Dominicans, call up LIME, and ask them to remove your number from their database. STOP the abuse… STOP it!!!

Yeah good point about LIME. Why the heck do they send me all their deals about winning phones. I mean they buy a phone for US $100, and then they run this fake and poor marketing hype about winning a phone with a text for almost 2-3 weeks, i mean they make so much money from this one phone, its really ridiculous. Its really illegal. But they are smart by using their own resources and cutting cost. Trust me the day ECTEL or NTRC comes down on them.. All that will stop. You should think about publishing this article on “The Sun”, “Chronicle” or “The Times”.
I;ve sent a registered letter to the LIME Management, advisibg MY practice of billing $1 for every unsolicited and illegal Text received. When I have reached $1000 I plan on taking it to court. Others should do the same.
