Sun Newspaper report Hubert Charles is tipped to be Dominica's Ambassador in Washington
Chairman of the Communications Committee of the Dominica State College (DSC) Merril Matthew has said that the College has not been informed of any decision to replace its current President Hubert Charles with Former Plattsburgh State University College Administrator Dr. Donald Peters.
According to an article in the Sun newspaper dated Monday October 5, 2009, Dr. Donald Peters is to replace Hubert Charles as the President of the Dominica State College while Charles moves to Washington as Dominica’s newest ambassador.
The article further states that Peters, has all but confirmed that it’s just a matter of time before he becomes the DSC President.
Peters is quoted as saying, “I am just waiting on his (the prime minister’s) decision on the matter. There is a president at the State college at this time.”
However Matthew told a local radio station that the State college cannot confirm these statements since the governing board of the institution has not been approached with these changes.
“If there is any truth to that statement it is the only one I saw on the news paper. Officially at DSC, we do not know of this situation. I am not in a position to say it is true or false, all I know is that Mr. Charles has not told senior management of that and all we know is what we read in the newspaper this week,” he added.
