Portsmouth Community Watch Foundation Donates Equipment to Police

Jennifer Jeffers presents donation to Deputy Chief of Police Cyrille Carette

The Portsmouth Community Watch Foundation Inc. donated a digital camera, a digital audio recorder, a fingerprint kit, and a height chart to the Dominica Police Force for use primarily at the Portsmouth police station.

Chairman of the PCWF Technology Committee, Wayne Abraham, outlined the capabilities of the equipment and said they were selected in consultation with the Police Chief Hobbs JnoBaptiste.

Chairperson of the Quality of Life Committee of the PCWF, Jennifer Jeffers, presented the items to Deputy Chief Cyril Carette. Deputy Chief Carette was thankful for the gifts and emphasized that crime was everybody’s business and not just the police.

President of the foundation, Adenauer Douglas, said the foundation would like to make further contributions for the surveillance of hot spots and speed measuring devices. He also thanked the various donors who made these gifts possible
