The Minister responsible for Health and the Environment John Fabien said Dominica is highly vulnerable to the impacts of climate change.
Local and international environmental experts are in Dominica for the next few days deliberating on the way forward for adaptation to climate change.
Dominica is one of the three countries chosen as beneficiaries for the project intended to implement measures to address the impact of climate change on natural resource base.
Fabien said a reduction in the impacts of climate change will greatly benefit the country.
“There will be economic benefits in tourism, agriculture and forestry, which will help maintain the resource base in which these economic activities rely,” he said.
