Dominica’s teachers to be awarded this weekend

James Goggin, USAID Rep presents computers to Education Minister Hon. Vince Henderson for use in C-CTEPP programme in 2008

Thirty-four teachers and principals from five USAID, C-CETT sponsored countries in the Eastern Caribbean will tomorrow receive awards for their outstanding performance in the development of literacy in their respective schools and territories.

The programme which was introduced to all primary school in Dominica was also implemented in St Lucia, St Vincent and the Grenadines, Guyana and Grenada.

The ceremony will be hosted by the Ministry of Education, Human resource Development, Sports and youth Affairs and will take place at the Upper Terrace of the Windsor Park Stadium from 7pm.

Saturdays ceremony will be attended by His Excellency the President of the Commonwealth of Dominica Mr. Nicholas Liverpool.

The feature address will be delivered Honorable Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit.
