Mayor Compliments Police on job Well Done

Mayor of Roseau His Worship Cecil Joseph is commending the work of the law enforcement officers for what he says was a job well done during the independence celebrations.

He told a press conference Thursday morning, that the activities were violent-free and the police officers must be complimented

“Some persons think that police officers on the island don’t do their work properly but this year, I think they must be complimented. The Creole in the Park went violent-free, we saw the World Creole Music Festival free from violence and a number of activities as well,” he said.

Joseph also expressed dissatisfaction with an event put on by the Roseau City Council.

He said while he is commending the efforts of everyone, the event could have been better.

“I was very dissatisfied with the Creole Bod Lame activity that was held on the three Fridays.

Joseph however commended the sponsors for having confidence in the Roseau City Council in that regard.
