Alliance Francaise de La Dominique to hosts Eric Delor

In Observance of Francophone Month and the 40th anniversary of the International Francophone Organization, Alliance Française de la Dominique, will on Thursday 4th March 2010, host and present Martiniquan Actor, Eric Delor, at the Alliance Française de La Dominique, with “De la Race en Amérique” (Race in America) – a live performance of President Barack Obama’s original Speech on Race: “A more perfect Union”, delivered in Philadelphia on the 18th March 2008.

Eric Delor trained at the Ecole Supérieure des Arts et de la Communication (Graduate School of Animation and Communication) in France. He worked in Paris until 1992 and then returned to Martinique where he worked for several directors, local and otherwise, including Michele Césaire, Elie Pennont and Ruddy Sylaire with whom and under whose direction he played in “Nègerrances” of José Pliya. The latter was presented at the Festival of Avignon. He performed as well in “Parabole” written by the same author, directed by Noël Jovignot.

The performance of De la Race en Amérique is directed by famous the director José Pliya from Benin (former Director of Alliance Française de la Dominique in the late 90s).

The show will start at 6:30 pm. Tickets for the show which will start at 6:30 pm, are available for sale at the Alliance Française (20EC$ for none members, 10 EC$ for AF members, students and teachers).
