Opposition Leader Ron Green said he will not apologize for a decision by the United Workers Party to air Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit’s statement before it was officially delivered.
The entire statement of Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit was read on q95 by an unidentified individual almost two hours before it was delivered by the head of government.
Green said the UWP had received the statement and will not apologize for revealing its contents
“We got access to the speech and we were shocked by the amount of lies and hypocrisy in the speech and we decide the best thing to do was reveal it. We exposed the speech in advance and I make no apologies for that,” he said.
Meantime Green said despite the fact that persons are not happy that the election falls on the eve of Christmas, the UWP is ready.
He expressed confidence that the UWP will form the next elections.
