President of the Waitikubuli Ecological Foundation Bernard Wiltshire says despite claims by government that they would stop the burning of tires in the Fond Cole Landfill; residents affected should take legal action against those responsible.

Wiltshire who is also the former attorney general of Dominica under the Dominica Labour Party and a lawyer by profession said residents have a good case against the government in that regard.

He said he is willing to represent the residents who have been affected in any way.

“Anybody from Fond Cole or from anywhere else who feels that they have been affected health-wise can come to me and we can deal with the matter. If they feel it is a nuisance to them, they can come to me at my office and I will assist them,” he said.

Wiltshire has indicated his intention to contest the Castle Bruce constituency on a United Workers Party ticket.
