Gertrude Webb says Grace Joeph lives

Gertrude Webb, the Mother of Grace Joseph –the young lady who died as a result of a vehicular accident at Les Pointe on Friday night –says her daughter is alive and she will see her again.

Following the accident, Joseph was rushed to the hospital but succumbed to death one or two hours later early Saturday morning.

Webb, who believes that her daughter actually died on the ward, said Joseph was fighting for her life. She said it was a miracle that she even spoke after sustaining multiple injuries.

“She was in a lot of pain. She was fighting for her life. She told her dad, aunt and sister that it is getting harder and more difficult for me to breather, I have pain in my chest” she said.

All attempts to resuscitate Joseph failed.

Despite the painful loss, Webb says she is comforted by the fact that her daughter is with her maker.

“She suffered but her suffering is over. She is at home now. She is with her maker and that gives me comfort knowing that my child is with her heavenly father. That she will be with him in eternity and I will meet her there. That’s what comforts me” she said.

Notwithstanding Joseph’s untimely passing, Webb expressed the hope that she would see her daughter again. “I have that blessed hope that my daughter is with Jesus and I am going to see her again. So Grace lives! She’s not living in her earthly vessel, but she lives. It’s now that Grace is alive” she said.

Grace was a born again Christian who attended the Trinity Baptist Church.

Her mother described her daughter as a wonderful, bubbly, warm and charming princess and said that she would be greatly missed. Webb said there is an important lesson in Grace’s life and death for other young people.

“Don’t live your life recklessly” she said, “giver your life to Christ because one day you are going to stand before God and you’re going to have to give account to him. Serve God!”
