The West Indies Cricket Board has released the schedule for the region’s inaugural Caribbean T20 Tournament scheduled to be bowled of in Queen’s Park Oval in Trinidad and Kensington Oval Barbados from July 22 to 31. The matches in Barbados will be played from July 22 to 25 and the matches in Trinidad will be played on July 28 to 31 with the finals reserved for August 1.
Eight teams, divided into two groups, will compete in the tournament. Zone A will include Trinidad and Tobago, Jamaica, Leeward Islands, and Canada while Zone B will feature Guyana, Barbados, Windward Islands, and Combined Campuses & Colleges.
Matches will be played at 4 pm and 8 pm Eastern Caribbean Time/3 pm and 7 pm Jamaica Time, except on Sunday, July 25 when the start times will be 2 pm and 6 pm Eastern Caribbean Time/1 pm and 5 pm Jamaica Time.
The winner of the Caribbean T20 will go on to represent the West Indies in Group B at the Airtel Champions League in South Africa in September.
